The DFC SS640810AULB Street Series Long Block is constructed for the driver that needs a replacement engine for their 2008-2010 Ford 6.4L Powerstroke (Automatic Transmission). Engine Remanufacturing
DFC engines are usually matched with near identical weight piston and connecting rod assemblies. As a result, you get a smoother running engine that creates less noise and feels more balanced. This remanufactured Long Block includes new pistons, rings, bearings, and seals.
Cylinder Head
Every 6.4L Powerstroke Street Series engine comes standard with O-ring cylinder heads. DFC replaces each valve guide with a new set cast guides in every cylinder head. Instead of just a re-grind of the old burnt valves, DFC installs all new valves from high quality sources like MAHLE or SBI. To address common cracking areas in the cylinder head, DFC also machines each head to remove the factory hardened seat material. DFC then installs new SBI valve seats to help eliminate premature cracking giving you a more durable cylinder head.
Upgraded Fasteners
DFC Street Series engines come standard with ARP 2000 Series or OptiTorque Head Studs (depending on availability) to give you peace of mind that your new engine won’t fail like the stock engine due to head gasket issues. Not only does DFC use Head Studs, when assembling the bottom end of your 6.4L Powerstroke engine, they also replace the factory connecting rod bolts with upgraded ffasteners to ensure that you have an engine that is more dependable than the original.

Each DFC Street Series Long Block Engine comes standard with a 5-year, 100,000 mile warranty (Non-Commercial).

New Engine Checklist (Replacement Items - Sold Separately):
- Oil Cooler - highly recommended and mandatory if your past engine had a bearing failure.
- Injectors - highly recommended especially on higher model engines or engines with contaminated fuel.
- Turbocharger - recommended if mileage over 125K, mandatory if shaft play, or if engine was dusted.
- Water Pump - highly recommended if engine has over 125K.
- Evans Waterless Coolant - recommended upgrade to prevent corrosion and boilover.
